In the Duddon Valley, Chris Fisher has developed a large boulder and a few satellites, located by the river in Wallowbarrow Gorge
‘The Holt’, as the large block is known, serves up a handful of particularly good problems between 6B+ and 7C, with the latter, Time & Tide, being the standout climb – a cracking right to left traverse, which takes in the best climbing of the boulder’s main face.
From left to right, the remaining lines are Brown Trout (7A+), Otters Wall (6C+) and Right Arete (6B+). While an adjacent block provides, River Arete (7A) a two star arete/prow with an airy finish. All the problems mentioned are described in the topo linked below. Can’t wait to give these a blast!
