Another hard new climb/variation from Aidan Roberts, sees the addition of Hathi Jr. (8B) to the main block at the Swarthbeck Boulders, Ullswater.
This latest addition adds a further sit move to the original area classic Colonel Hathi before finishing up the left side of the main face (rather than direct), via a bold launch to the lip over a ‘no-fall-zone’. Aidan said of the problem: “It’s a great fusion of hard, basic, safe moves and easier slightly less safe moves for a bit of a thrill to finish.”
