Peter Reynolds has developed a small but decent boulder field at the upper end of Deepdale – around 3km west of Brothers Water, Patterdale.
The boulders are scattered across the hillocks (moraine) at the head of the valley, and are up to 3 m high, composing of very grippy rock. The landings are flat and grassy but some likely to be soggy during wetter months. Bring a brush and maybe a tarp in winter.

Approach notes
45 min walk from parking at Bridgend. Good path but some leg work required between boulders due to nature of the terrain.
Peter has created a topo, which can be down loaded here: Deepdale Boulders PDF
