Dan Varian has climbed the superb Afro Boulder project, at the Hollinghead Crag boulders in Eskdale. Right Here Right Now (8B), as Dan has named it, is immediately left of Don’t Touch, and an obvious challenge shown at the top of page 335 of the Lake District Bouldering guidebook.
Dan and Micky Stainthorpe also added a couple of other good looking lines to the crag. On the Oak Boulder; Puzzle Ledgends (7B+) is a LH sitter to Oak Apple, made possible by some landing improvements. While Lightening North is situated on the rear of the Lightening Boulder, and makes for a punchy 7C sitter.
