I’ve developed an excellent new boulder on the eastern flanks of Seathwaite tarn, which combines well with the Seathwaite Circuit more generally.
The bouldering is located below Shudderstone How and offers an assortment of circuit problems centring on one excellent block. There’s a footpath from the south end of the tarn heading around it’s rocky east edge. This goes straight past the block – directly opposite the sluice in the dam.
The stand-out lines are The Alabama Slammer (7B+) and Fit to Fight (7C/+), both worth a star or two.
The best problems are described here.
